Income Tax Preparation
Waiting until Dec to plan your taxes? Tired to DIY your taxes? New Laws over your head?
When do you begin preparing your personal or business tax filings? At the end of the year in December? Or worse yet right before you call to make your appointment in the next year? This should be a process that begins as soon as the new year begins (and sometimes at the end of the previous year) to take full advantage of tax savings opportunities such as open season or even adjusting your work benefits and deductions to be sure that there are no surprises in April. Maybe you even try to DIY your tax return with the store bought software or online. Well if you have, you have noticed that they software does ask you some questions, and if you have a very straight forward 1040EZ return, it may serve your needs. However if you are like most, you may be missing many deductions, as well as the opportunity to sit down with a knowledgeable tax professional, like myself, to really dig into your tax life and create a plan to reduce what is being taxed. Also, a canned software cannot stand behind the tax return that you have “self-prepared” so as problems arise with the IRS, who do you turn to? This is an area that I specialize in. Let me help you to navigate through this process and take the fear and sting out of preparing and filing your taxes.
